Flat Fall Bouquet | Procreate | Digital Art

 Hi All,

Happy October Guys!

I have done a Flat Fall Bouquet using @everytuesday Teela's tutorial. As always her tutorials are informative and easy peasy for a beginner to follow along. No prior knowledge of Procreate is necessary as every tutorial takes you through a doable pace of learning. Must say, Absolutely enjoying her tutorials.

I love to add a bit of Lettering with whatever brushes I have in Procreate plus the purchased ones.
Yes!! I started buying Procreate Watercolor brushes instead of Real ones!!

@Freyas.art sale is going on, Purchased 144 Ultimate Watercolor Brushes set for 29 $, seems a good deal to learn variety of textures and usages.

Below is a Watercolor wreath and Lettering done in 2018.

I love the transition to Digital art using Procreate which I purchased in 2019 and got to use only now :)

Hope you like it!!

Floral card : You Complete Me

Hi Hello Crafty peeps!

Happy Valentine's Day to all my blog visitors and crafty friends.

Whipped up a quick floral card using my favorite Noline coloring using Danielsmith watercolors Dotcard on Arches Cold pressed watercolor paper. First ever try using these combos and highly convinced by  the way the colors move.

Over to pics,

  • Stamped Altenew's Dahlia blossom using Antique linen DI on Arches cold pressed watercolor paper.
  • Used Daniel smith watercolors of SSS Debby hughes  color palette for greens and Sharri carols palette for yellows and a tinge of orange for the shadows.
  • Took Strathmore Tan paper is used for the stenciled base using Altenew class stripes stencil and Prima Modeling paste.
  • Stenciled base is matted onto a white top fold cardbase.
  • Fussy cut florals are added on the stenciled base with different dimensions for interest and yellow enamel dots as finishing touch.
Hope you like it!

Colors are inspired from current Altenew's monthly challenge

Handlettered quotes + Watercolor florals - Trio Series1

Hi Friends!

During my June end to August Vacation at India, squeezed a lot of ME time amidst of my Family business and office works, and practiced Handlettering and Watercoloring florals.

Must say, every day i look forward for the evening time, to let my soul speak.

My little one would accompany me by smooshing his paint palette on his drawing book :)

And most of all, my dad would sit and watch patiently how we both do!!

Gonna share 3 projects per post :)

Hope you all like it!!

Watercolor Florals and Brush Lettering!!

In the series of Watercoloring and Brush Lettering combo, i did two artworks in Canton Montval watercolor paper with Gansai Tambi watercolors and did some Lettering by Kuretake Fudebiyori Metallic brush pens.

Yay!!! I never craft during my vacation at India...But this time, i wanna practice these newly learnt art forms, whenever i have little free time.

Truly i could see differences in my watercolor painting and acquired a bit confidence in brush strokes, as i mostly work with coloring stamped images, within boundaries.
This truly let my soul set free...

Hope you like it!!

More to come....Stay Tuned :)

Watercolored Floral card

Hi Friends!!!

Am here today with another floral creation, a card this time. Watercoloring is my recent crush and added to it my calligraphic attempts :) Am enjoying both equally :)

Today's card is especially for the ongoing Altenew Challenge. The current inspiration challenge pic is such lovely and the beautiful colors made me to create this card.

My November Altenew win recently reached me...I have bought few stamps using the GC...One of which is this Oh-So-Beautiful...."Remember this" stamp set.

  • Gold heat embossed the florals and buds onto a watercolor paper and colored using my ever favorite Zig clean color brush pens and watercolored it.
  • Onto a pattern paper, stamped the smaller florals and colored with Faber castle polychromos with a lighter touch, so as to keep the beauty of the pp.
  • The pp is distressed at the edges using the scissors.
  • This pp has a beautiful printed script which faded on the middle and had florals on the corner.
  • The sentiment is such uplifting and i love to continue the same mood with the muted bg and
  •  a focal using bright florals at a corner.
  • Fussy cut the watercolored florals and added using foam adhesives and few directly on the pp to create a dimension.
  • Stamped the sentiment from the same set and splattered black soot distress ink.
  • Added few clear droplets and matted this onto a A2 sized black top fold cardstock.

Hope you all like this card. Love to hear from you all!

Watercolored Roses

Hiya Friends!

How you all doing!

Days are lovely here as we enjoy super foggy mornings and chill weather at UAE.

2 months back i won Altenew FB giveaway and bought Bold and Blossom set, which reached my home few days back.

Yay!!! You got me right!

Watercolored those Roses using noline coloring technique, which am still in learning the nuances of it.

Have chosen colors from the January altenew Challenge

Am so in love with the colors here in the graphic.

  • To create my card, took a watercolor cardstock, stamped outline Roses and Leaves, from Bold and Blossom set using Masking technique with a 3rd generation stamping using Archival ink.
  • Colored using noline coloring technique with Zigclean color brush pens.
  • Then fussy cut and kept ready to mount on a stenciled base card.
  • Prima min art stones are sprinkled generously and to add bit more texture added a honeycomb chipboard and a cheesecloth, to which fussy cut florals are added.
  • Left it as Sentiment-less card for now :)

Hope you like this card :)

Thanks for stopping by and soon to catch up with next project :)

Beachy Theme Canvas

After almost a month, am back to crafting and blogging today.

Today's post is about a Beachy theme Mixed media canvas of size 9"x12". Its my 3rd canvas and this is the larger one so far of what i did. Am just a newbie in this area of art and all your comments are much appreciated to improvise me :)

This is created using a wonderful moodboard at Scrap Around The World blog. Its my ever first time participating in their challenge :)

Its filled with such mesmerising colors and elements.

The things which caught my heart is the lovely shades of blue colors, rope, natural elements, and the quote. And so made Lost in Love canvas.

Following moodboard from 13arts is also my inspiration for the canvas, Teal, Turquoise are my fav colors and roses, dewdrops, beads are my elements in moodbaord, which caught my eyes. First time participating here :)

Took a primed canvas and applied texture paste using TimHoltz Bubble stencil and misted generously with Electric blue Mist and heat set it. Stamped the waves from Kaisercraft Offshore stamp set on to a thick white cardstock and fussy cut out that. Matted these on the stenciled area and so the focal point is the pic of us taken in Amping Beach, Taiwan. Made a Raffia knotted heart and kept in the pic to add little focus.

Added MDF flourishes which are primed with acrylic white and few flowers and swirls for bit interest.Sprayed Glimmer Mist Blue sheen around the focal image. Added a bottle cap filled with teeny tiny natural elements and sealed it with glossy accents.

Added blue microbeads at few places and flicked black soot distress ink. Added a wood veneer on a heart diceut at a corner of the canvas.

Finally a computer generated quote - Lost in Love added.

Hope you like it! Leave some comments as it means a lot to me.

Inspired by...

Hey Hi!

A quick post today as my son gone for a dance practice for tomorrow's Tiny Tot's Day in school, had ample 6 hours to finish a DT post and this card today :)

This card is much inspired by very many things...
First the quote which comes in IBS Butterfly wings stamp set, which was a challenge win at IBS :)
Love the stamp set for the different butterflies and for the quotes.

Second which caught my eye ...was this Inspiration pic which is my screensaver in my lappy for a long time.

And last...those sunset colors and the images of it.

I wanted to try those colors and wanted to make a card and so this dare attempt from my end,
Now...you should say...how it looks?

Took a 5x5 white CS and started building the colors from scattered straw, rusty hinge, aged mahogany, vintage photo and black soot DIs. I enjoyed the process being so inky :)

I stamped those wild flowers, grasses and wheat stalk from Meadows stampset and the stamped the sentiment in versamark and white heat embossed.

And stamped the butterfly near the wheat stalk and just drawn the legs alone, as if its grabbing it.

Hope you like it! Do leave comments, as it means a lot to me :)

Supplies:

Fabriano White CS
Inks - DIs - Scattered straw, Rusty hinge, Aged Mahogany, Vintage photo, Black Soot
Ranger Black Archival ink

Floral Thank You card :)

Yet another post and of course a last one before my India trip on 24th June :)

In my last India trip, carried few craft supplies and it was lying almost 1 month unused. Atlast now find some time to use those.

Stenciling is done with TH honeycomb stencil using Texture paste and by masking a central portion of the card using a scallopped oval diecut, misted the card with Heidi Swapp Georgia peach shimmer mist.

MFT fluorishes are added and Flowers are made from CLD Gardenia strips by misting, distressing with various distress inks - Tumbled glass, Fired brick, Dusty concord and those CLD ivy fluorish leaves are distressed at edges by Crushed olive distress ink.

And a butterfly is stamped on White CS, colored using distress inks - Mustard seed and Wild honey and fussy cut and added near floral spray.

Used Gauze on adhesive side of masking tape and  sponged it with Distress ink Victorian velvet. A sentiment is stamped, then diecut it using Spellbinder Ribbon Banner die and added to the card. Misted stenciled cs are used as banners at right top of cards and few pearls are added as final touch.

Hope you like the card!!
