A Simple card :)

Its me again with a simple card with few handmade flowers. Handmade flowers are way too addictive i must say. Even in quilling, whatever i start with, I am sure to end with atleast few flowers. My hubby always insist me to pick some other aspects in quilling..yet cant resist.

Have a great flair for cardmaking and so inbetween my quilling projects, i peep into my other craft stash to make a card. One such attempt is today's card :)

Must say...Few of Indian bloggers who are avid cardmakers inspired me to a great level with their skill in Quilling as well. Their cards are so unique, in which they keep Quilling as their focal point apart from embellishing. My favorite Cardmaker&Quiller combos : Hussena, Dr.Sonia and Indira and they perfectly balance the beauty of card with Quilling. Hats off to you guys...Unknowingly you are inspiring the blogging world around you....

And coming to today's card. I loved the pic inspiration of IBSIC42 and made this color combo card.

My take on that inspiration:

The embossed vertical lines are scorings made from MS scoreboard and those blue flowers are handmade. Leaves are punched out and so the butterflies. Just learning to stamp and distress.

Supplies:

Blue Cardstock -Sudha
White Handmade paper- Itsy Bitsy
Leaves, Butterfly, MS deco Shell Punches - Jo-ann stores
5 petal flower punch - A1 craft supply
MS Scoreboard -Mansi
Diecut - Kavitha
Stamp -Krafter's kart
Momento Blue Ink - Jelly bean

Challenges Entered:

IBSIC 42 -Pic inspiration
Charisma cards - Punch it (Used 3 punches)
Craft boots challenge - New (New stampset, MS Decoshell punch)
Casual fridays- CFC86

Hope you like the card. Please do comment and all your valuable suggestions brings out the best in me always :)

Happy Crafting!!!

From the time, i bought MS scoreboard, i started doing the handmade boxes, bags, which i bookmarked for ages. Really loved doing this. It just holds handful mini candies and great to gift little ones when they visit our home.

Quilled Flowers

Very Happy New year to all my readers and blogger friends...Hope this new year brings all joy and harmony  to us.

2012 has gone so fast for me as 8 months i stayed in India after my Taiwan relocation and came here to UAE and this 4 months here gone super fast. And now, my little one got admission in International Indian School and so will be going to KG from April.

For all these days, i have been quilling and gifting for my near and dear ones only both in Taiwan and India. Orders came my way, though i dont do quilling on a monetary basis. Either they picked up the original piece or asked for a same color, pattern work, So there wasn't any chance to post about those in my blog as i never like reciprocating the same piece again...

And now year's first post and of course, my first customized order for a quilled work came my way :) seeing my Blog!!!

Updation: After Framing:

Though a very simple quilled work, am happy for bringing out the smile and happiness in my client after getting this work.

And for the first time, i used Needle tool instead of Slotted one...and loved the result.

And did you notice that, oh yah...Its my brand new digital watermark. Love it a lot. Thank You, Nupur Priya for making this lovely unique one :)

Hope you all like it...

Hope this new year brings many more chance and ways to improvise myself in this wonderful art. Tentative intimation about UAE quilling exhibition has come and am working on for that now. So will post my works  after the exhibition which may held in last week of Jan or 1st week of Feb...Wish me Good Luck!

Crafter's corner- Anything but not card or LO
