A CAS card :)

For the first time, i tried a CAS card of OLC- One Layer Card creation. No pearls, no ribbons, no embellishments :) Just a simpler card from me..

Stamped flourishes and butterfly on a White CS with Black Momento dew drop.  Colored the butterfly using FaberCastell Watercolor pencils. And then paper pierced this CS and matted on a Base CS. Stamped the Sentiment and below it did few horizontal scorings using MS scoreboard.
A newbie in cardmaking, so needs much more practice in stamping, paper piercing and so on...

Hope you all like my first CAS card attempt :)

MS Decoshell flower card

Yet another Shabby chic card..Though i own MS double arches punch, am in love with my new MS Decoshell punch. Its a shallow edge punch unlike the earlier mentioned one which is a deep edge punch.

The idea of making a flower from Deco shell punch was a long time desire and yesterday had time to try out and am pretty much happy as it turned out well.

Cream PP is randomly stamped with border stamp (which is not that visible in pictures) using Momento dew drop -Angel pink and corners of that, is distressed using Momento dew drop - Rich cocoa. And this matted on white CS. Added few rows of MS decoshell punch borders in light green CS and pearls were added to it. Stamped sentiment using Rich cocoa in a banner and added that between the pearl rows.

Made Decoshell flower by cutting individual units in green and pink shades and made a flower and mounted on a Doily diecut whose edges are distressed with Momento Green. Ruffled the baby pink satin ribbon and added at the centre of the card.

Hope you all like it...

And a happy news to share.. After a looooong wait, my UK Quilling Guild membership card and Autumn 2012 Quillers Today Magazine arrived few days before safely since the one sent in November doesn't reach me at all. Butterfly card

Its a simple butterfly card this time.

I have been hoarding my favorite MS monarch butterfly punch, more than a month. So want to make use of its best. Punched 4 butterflies from 4 different patterned papers which matches with the color scheme of the base pattern paper.

And matted it with a pale green cardstock, which then matted on a white cardstock, whose edges are distressed with Tumbled glass Distress ink. Added white rhinestones on butterflies and a black rhinestone flourish on base pp. Thought that the sentiment sticker Dream would perfectly match the card and so added it to a banner.

Hope you all like my simple attempts in cardmaking :)

Shabby Chic Valentine Card

This is my very first attempt in making a Shabby Chic card.

As am very new to cardmaking, it took me days to understand what exactly shabby chic card look like and explanation given at BGC made me to give a try. The floral patterned paper is downloaded from net and matted with a baby pink card and  distressed with Momento Angel pink. The doily is stamped using Momento Lady bug and  diecut hearts are added to it.

I made a nick at one arm of a heart and inserted the other heart and tied both at the centre with a small white satin and embellished with a rhinestone and pink pearls. Then for the first time, i tried pleated ribbon in the middle of card with baby pink satin ribbon.  Added big fabric flower and few mulberry flowers. And the little hearts are made from foam flowers, which i trimmed to make hearts. Sentiment is downloaded from net.

Hope you all like it and your comments are highly appreciated :)

And so happy to share that yesterday my Botanical Quilling Japanese Book has arrived. Had a long time desire to see the book and now dream come true :)

And a week before, dear hubby surprised me by getting a Samsung Multipurpose Laser Printer on his birthday. This really makes me to take easy print outs of all my digi sentiments,  free PPs which i saved for ages and also for my Littleone's coloring pages :)

Monochromatic card

Am in love with Beige tones and so come up with a Monochromatic card with a mix of Cream, Tan, Light brown.

For the first time, i did paper piecing by stamping flowers on cardstock and then did fussy cut. And on the background, stamped mini flower pattern. Used open scallop pattern around the sentiment.

Quilled Dandelion

This time, i have come up with Quilled Dandelion. Its so special to me, since i wanted to do this quite long time back and now had time to fringe and love doing it. Hope have improved much in this fringing since fringes are so thin this time.

Added a little quilled ladybug. Leaves are handcut. Made a small canvas with handmade paper and its size is 15cmx15cm and this mounted on a white cardstock. Follow Claire's instructions to made this canvas. Yet to be framed and sent to my cousin sister who lovingly sent me Craft goodies for New Year. Hope she likes this as much i love.
