Be Brave!

Hey Hi All,

Am still sticking and challenging myself onto making of some non-floral cards...Yay bit away from my pencil coloring, watercoloring of florals.

And for today, it's a Butterfly card.

To me, Butterfly symbolises a "Free spirit". And it goes wherever it pleases and pleases wherever it goes.

  • Took a watercolor paper and trimmed a bit to fit a 4x6" Top fold cardbase.
  • Mixed HNDMD paper texture paste and Brusho -Limegreen to get a beautiful shade of green.
  • Applied this prepared paste over the panel using TCW 'Art is' stencil diagonally and applied plain paper paste to rest of the areas.
  • Love this texture paste as it just mimics a handmade paper texture.
  • Centrally splashed Smooch-Spritz golden yellow for a warm glow.
  • Stamplorations -Trendy butterflies2 large butterfly is gold heat embossed, fussy-cut and topped over die-cut leaves to create a focal element.
  • Sentiment from same stamp set is stamped using Memento black ink on to a strip of paper and added to the focal panel.
  • Matted this over cardbase and added few green enamel dots to finish off the card.
Hope you like it!

oh Sathya, another stunning card. I was immediately drawn to the background texture and the soft yellow you sprayed-it does give a lovely texture and soft feel to your card. Naturally I love to see enamel dots-my fav-and your placement of them is spot on-I am never sure where to put them and just play around with them until I am happy with it-I would sure be happy with this! And the gold embossing the perfect choice to contrast the soft background. I like how you are challenging yourself this way and it sure is working! Thanks for joining Time Out x
