Sketch #112

Karen Gerber, known for the awesome sketches at Cardabilities and each one of it, is my favorite.

And about my card..

Patterned paper is matted on to the base CS and distressed the edges. Wanted to go for muted tones and so this attempt of creating a flower cluster which is much similar to the pp tone.

Gessoed down the central portion of the pp to tone down the pp a bit and on that the flower cluster are placed.  Tessatina border , Medical gauze, Raffia, pollens, along with the Floral spray and the diecut leaves which are distressed with weathered wood.

Few pearls to finish off the card with the sentiment on a banner near the cluster and random splashes of inks.

Hope you like the card.

Red Poppies :)

Hi Friends,

Wish to try some coloring with distress inks and this time, its with Poppies stamp. I heart this stamp and it was there in my wishlist for a long time. At last tried now.

Will be coming up with card variations using this lovely stamp soon.

Stamped with Black archival ink and colored using Festive berries DI. Layered Timeless rectangle diecuts on a base CS and distressed its edges too with the Festive berries DI.

Though am not satisfied with my outcome of coloring, dint feel like throwing in trash...so to pacify me, added IBS Sentiment, which i feel apt to my mood. Few pearls are added as accents.

Hope to improve in my future trials.

Leave your comments which means a lot to me :)
