Vintage-y Love :)

Another Valentine card for today, a shadow box card with a vintage color scheme. This card technique and vintage style is my first time try. Hope you like it.

White, cream, black, brown, light mint green, kraft are the shades i have played with.
Made a shadow box with cream CS and mint green pp whose edges are distressed with momento rich cocoa are added on the outer frame. A square frame is cut from pattern paper which has music notes, is added as inner panel and to it added a heart diecut from same pp, is with stamped florishes and its edges too sponged with rich cocoa.

All the flowers are handmade. Florishes, roses, mum, are diecut from various dies  and distressed and dry embossed to make these. To add bit interest to the CLD tropical flourish, added a single petal flower with stryofoam ball centres. Big roses are made from Gardenia strips and small roses bunch are made from Memory box fancy blossoms and of course, single petal flowers too. Big bloom is from CLD sunflower die. Leaves are from olive branches.

Sentiment too is stamped on music note pp diecut, which i hope goes well with the sentiment saying :)
A small CLD butterfly and few pearls, rhinestones are added as final touch.

Hope you all like it...Your comments and visits are much appreciated.

Valentine Card

A valentine card for the valentine month. Just 4 days away for my Wedding Anniversary and so this quick card with roses again :)

Made an easel card with roses and fluorishes. The card front has a pale pink pp whose edges are distressed and on it matted another red digi freebie. The lattice is made from tessatina border die and its added to the circle die and made as a focal point.

Cheery lynn gardenia strip die is used to make roses and tropical florishes diecuts are added in different tones. Red florish diecut and paper pieced butterfly are from DCWV Mariposa collection.

MS double arches border punch is used to create a lace with the same pink pp from Zephyr paper pad and added just below the focal lattice.

Tag card

Hello All,

A quick update about today's card. 2 days before i received my Cheerylynn dies which i bought using the gift certificate. From that time, was badly wanted to try my hands with those lovely dies.

Oh ya...Those  roses made from Gardenia strip dies and i love love love those Rose leaf dies. Was longing to buy both for a long time and now had a chance to work with :)

On Ivory CS, pp is matted and on it a tag is matted made from a cream CS whose edges are distressed with Spun sugar. Another pp from same pack is chosen and hearts where diecut from it and to add little interest, stamped decorative lace stamp on it with Black Archival ink and heart pearls are added.

Roses are distressed with victorian velvet DI and made from gardenia strip and a bunch of buds made with the pollen sticks. Rose leaf are diecut and sponged with new sprout momento ink and all these are mounted on a tropical florish die which is ticked underneath the tag. Small cream CS is used to diecut the butterfly and added near the floral bunch. Baby pink ribbon in tied and a small bow is made from 1.5mm pink satin ribbon  and added on to the tag.

Sentiment is stamped on a banner and mounted using dimensionals.Few heart pearls are added as final touch.

The sweetheart theme is chosen from CLD challenge, the color palette and tag idea are used from IBS and January Bloghop and Picture bingo is used from Itsy Bitsy.

Happy Birthday!!!

Here a quick Happy Birthday card for my sweet little sister, who is celebrating her birthday today :) and getting married this year May :) To make her Special birthday, a little more special...a card from her crafty sister!!! Love u so much sweetie!!!

Tried to make a rose from floral fluorishes. First attempt in using that die and am super happy with the result..Added glossy accents on it to give dew drops look.

The diecut panel is made using Venetian panel thinlet and made into a pattern paper by distressing with spun sugar and angel pink momento ink. And used Kaisercraft stamp for the background and on it heat embossed a butterfly using white Ep. Followed a tute shared in IBS.

Made small heart banner using heart thinlits and the sentiment is stamped in Black archival ink and pearls were added for interest. Card made followed from a sketch and color inspiration

Wintry WOW !

My first post in this new year 2014...

Have done 3 White on white cards earlier and this one is so apt for the season :)
Done this card with just Cherry Lynn Designs Dies only :)

As the day is so gloomy today, unable to capture a proper pic :(

The White CS is used as card front on which snowflakes are heat embossed with White Ep. And the central focal point is a strip of White Thai natural fiber paper is added to give a wintry feel and to both ends added a strips of punched MS deco shell laces.

The central foliage is made from Cherrylynn Tropical florish, Cherry lynn Olive branches to it added five petal mini flowers from Cherry  lynn Embellishments B256. The two white flaky flowers are made using stamens of various sizes from the same CL Embellishment B256 dies.

Just love the Sunflower die and have used in many of my earlier projects here, here, here and here . Its one die which i very often attempt to give variation to the flowers. Hope you all like it!!!
Here the big flower is filled with pearls and few pearls of various sizes are used to create a bit interest.

And for the centre, sentiment is heat embossed using Zing Silver Embossing powder on a vellum. Its my first attempt using Vellum, Thai natural fiber paper and few other dies. Just loved using the fibre paper and for its lovely texture, going to use it often. And the butterfly is added and its a diecut from Cherry Lynn small exotic butterfly die.

Hope you like it!
