Live a Little : Floral card

Hi Craftypeeps,

Wishing you a very Happy New year 2019!!

Love what you do and do what you love!!
May you find peace and boundless joy in whatever you set your mind on!

I made a floral card as my first project for 2019. Am a sucker for floral stamps and digital floral images are no exception.

Digital images gives a whole new area for exploring...as they can be resized, flipped, and what not. It gives umpteen options for working on card designs.

  • Printed the Hellebore flower in varying sizes from Powerpoppy's Heart Abloom digital set.
  • Colored using Prisma colored pencils.
  • Fussy cut and kept aside.
  • Took a smooth blending card and smooshed the Distress oxide: Fossilized amber on a plastic sheet, misted with water and then applied to the card.
  • Randomly stamped the newspaper print stampers using Altenew's limestone ink. It gives a subtle texture over the inked surface.
  • Splattered distress ink: black soot over the card panel for little more interest.
  • Arranged the fussy cut florals in different dimensions for visual interest and added sentiment from Powerpoppy's Dynamic duo's clear stampset on to round wood veneer.
  • Matted this panel to a black cs and then mounted onto a white A2 top fold card base.
  • As a finishing touch, added few grey enamel dots.
Hope you like this!

Happy Birthday Card: Pencil colored Dahlia

Hi Friends!

Wishing a very Happiest Birthday to the ones, who share this date with me :)

A special birthday wishes to Jasnoor Kaur, my dear crafty friend Jasleen's little princess and also to my sub-junior friend! Am so lucky to know these souls and its always absolute joy in wishing them "Happy Birthday" on my birthday :) I especially make cards to fill my blog space with birthday note!

And for today,

Made a card using PowerPoppy Dahlia digital stamp. As always, am one big fan of Marcella's artistic illustrations. Her digis + pencil coloring is my fave go to!

  • Pencil colored this power poppy digi by printing it onto a white cs.
  • After coloring, fussy cut and colored its white edges using Black soot distress marker.
  • The bg is made using Yupo translucent sheet + 3 shades of Alcohol inks - Mermaid, Citrus, Lemonade.
  • The sentiment is directly printed onto vellum and diecut using stitched rectangle dies.
  • Yupo paper is also diecut using same stitched rectangle dies.
  • Its then matted onto white A2 top fold card.
  • The vellum focal panel is topped over the yupo paper in such a way that the organic design of alcohol inks were showing up around the focal image.
  • Few clear dew droplets added as finishing touches.
Hope you like it!

Happy Crafting!
