Floral Thank You card :)

Yet another post and of course a last one before my India trip on 24th June :)

In my last India trip, carried few craft supplies and it was lying almost 1 month unused. Atlast now find some time to use those.

Stenciling is done with TH honeycomb stencil using Texture paste and by masking a central portion of the card using a scallopped oval diecut, misted the card with Heidi Swapp Georgia peach shimmer mist.

MFT fluorishes are added and Flowers are made from CLD Gardenia strips by misting, distressing with various distress inks - Tumbled glass, Fired brick, Dusty concord and those CLD ivy fluorish leaves are distressed at edges by Crushed olive distress ink.

And a butterfly is stamped on White CS, colored using distress inks - Mustard seed and Wild honey and fussy cut and added near floral spray.

Used Gauze on adhesive side of masking tape and  sponged it with Distress ink Victorian velvet. A sentiment is stamped, then diecut it using Spellbinder Ribbon Banner die and added to the card. Misted stenciled cs are used as banners at right top of cards and few pearls are added as final touch.

Hope you like the card!!

Altered Frame :)

Hey Hi Friends!
Today's post is about an altered frame. This frame was lying with me for more than 1.5 yrs now and current challenges demand it to alter it and so this sweet trial :)

This frame fits 4"x6" pic and it was gifted by a friend when we left Taiwan. So wanted to place a pic which we took in Taiwan in an outdoor shoot, before our relocation to UAE.

This pic was taken during onset of Spring season and so wanted to give more cheery and colorful blooms which is signature of Spring :)

Gessoed down the frame and added these lacey distressed Tiffany border by modpodging it. Border is distressed with Walnut stain - Distress stain. Then blooms are made from Cheerylynn Designs (CLD) Gardenia strip and the floral leaves are made from CLD Olive branches and MFT florish dies which is again sponged with peeled paint Distress stain.

Closeup views of Blooms :)

Flowers are misted with Distress stains (Milled lavender, Mustard seed, Dried marigold, Dusty concord) and embossed to give shapes. (Love making these as i never used these colors for flowers earlier). Centre is made using styrofoam balls which is filled with Pop microbeads. (Oh ya...its my new add to my stash..Just loving it) Fillers flowers are added to clusters.

Love Heart woodchip is gesso-ed first and then misted with Heidi Swapp Georgia peach shimmer and lastly added glossy accents for that glossiness. Lastly added pearl strips and FAMILY glittered alphas as final touch.

Quilled Sunflowers card :)

Oh Yeah...Its been a loooong time since i quilled. After my Quilled Dedication frame for my granny, this is the card in recent times i made.

These quilled elements were made some 10 days before and just assembled today to form sunflowers, leaves, tendrils and twines. Happy to share since its completely made using Quilling Needle only and the flowers are made with 1.5mm width strips and distressed on tips with rich cocoa momento ink. Fringed flowers are distressed with wildhoney DI on edges. For an added interest, made some multistrips scrolls.

The background is made by scoring a Kraft CS on scoreboard randomly and distressing again with rich cocoa momento ink to give a wood bg and matted on sandcolor CS. And the this mounted on a black CS whose surface is vertically scored to create little texture to the card.

Wrapped Raffia around card, added a wooden button and a sentiment banner to finish the card. Hope you like it!

Yet another Butterfly card from me. Little one is back to school today and now in KG2 :)

Used only CheeryLynn designs dies to make this card. Love the DCWV Mariposa collection a lot. Matted this to the kraft cardbase. Diecut CLD English teaparty doily from a Pattern paper and distressed with Tumbled glass DI. And the Tiffany border diecut is added to it.

CLD  small exotic butterflies are diecut and distressed with tumbled glass DI and rich cocoa momento ink.

Sentiment is stamped from IBS butterfly wings stamp set and so the butterflies and the dragon fly. As a final touch, used fiskars tetra corner punch, added white rhinestones on corners and mini pearls on butterfly bodies.

To level the depth of the ladle, added some packaging cardboard as strips and hot glued it. Then on top of it, added 2 English Tea Party Doily Angel wings is diecut from IBS vintage florals pp as base.
